CommonBound Block Party

This is an event that followed the Commonbound Conference; a conference that brought hundreds of people to St. Louis from all over the country and US territories to address the topics of building a solidarity economy.

A small group of youth who attended this conference wanted to continue the momentum from CommonBound by hosting a block party in the Hyde Park neighborhood. This conference greatly impacted each of our personal lives and we want to spread this information and community with you all.

Here’s a taste of what we enjoyed at the block party!
-fresh produce from City Greens & New Roots Urban Farm
-Delicious food from A Red Circle's Healthy Flavor Bistro
-Healthy food demos from Chef Rusan and local farmer Mitch Pearson
-local artists and performers
-voter registration and election info from Action St. Louis
-Live DJ
-Raffle prizes from Teatopia and Tutti Frutti
-buttonmaking, art, and dancing

Shoutout to the Deaconess Foundation for sponsoring this event and to our amazing youth organizers who made it happen!
