We are bringing people together around the belief that everyone should have access to healthy, affordable, and locally-sourced food. We’re looking for people who want to transform our food system from the ground up--farmers, gardeners, business owners, chefs, holistic healers, educators, artists, community organizers, and anyone else who wants to be part of a food justice movement. Will you join us?
RECLAIM + SUSTAIN:
A Food And Farm Weekend
On Saturday, September 9th 12-7pm at Thomas Dunn Learning Center (3113 Gasconade St. 63118), Solidarity Economy St. Louis is hosting RECLAIM + SUSTAIN: A FOOD AND FARM WEEKEND. So far, we have ten amazing workshop presenters who will share how we can reclaim and sustain our relationship to food and the earth.
Help us make this first annual Food And Farm Weekend a reality, and free for the public. Your support of our crowdfunding campaign will help make the workshops FREE to the public, while also ensuring that all of our amazing presenters are compensated for their time and energy. All of our events will be family friendly. Can you give $10, $25, $50 or $100 to show your support and and help make this event free and accessible to the public?
We are also looking for:
People power - help out with set-up, take down, workshops, vending, and more
Outreach - spread the word in your networks through advertising, flyering, doorknocking, inviting us to come speak at your next event
Food - donate food, snacks, produce for the weekend
Equipment - let us know if you have access to sound systems, tables, chairs, tents, etc.
Raffle prizes - donate something for raffles, bartering, and giveaway opportunities! (bonus points if it’s something that you’ve created yourself)
